Dar:To Give

Tonight Christian and I helped out with Guadalupe Schools' annual auction and gala event. Some highlights
a) rich people giving money to a good cause and being reminded of the good left in the world
b) Hearing Kevin Eubank say (to another person, not me) "oh, there are a lot worse 4-letter words you could call me than Mark."
c) Finding out that Mini's Cupcakes is a really good bakery (over by Sears--always wondered about it).
d)Witnessing pole dancing lessons being purchased in the auction for $1,400. Wow. That's a bold woman.
e)A man serving appetizers who asked if he could "de-skewer" my shrimp skewer for me
f)Hearing a woman laugh about forgetting to pay her credit card bill three months in a row while her husband stood expressionless by her side and handed a different card to the cashier.
g)Eating dinner next to a fellow Aggie (it's the best decision I've ever made...next to marrying Christian, of course)
h) Children's artwork sold for hundreds of dollars

  1. What a great cause to get involved with. Dallas has mentioned the Guadalupe school before. I think he used to volunteer there, anyway, you do always do such fun, worthwhile things!
