when I told the man at the Brick Street Cafe I'd never had it before, he snatched the menu out of my hands and said, "then that's what it'll be for you."
Before dessert, I inhaled a fabulous Persian meal at Pomegranate on Main in downtown Greenville, SC. Delicious. Hummus and flat bread served with feta cheese and mint, fresh filet of salmon, prepared in a traditional Persian marinade of onion and saffron, grilled and served with basmati rice mixed with dill and lima beans, and a grilled tomato. I am depressed I don't have pictures to show you. Their website does not do them justice.

I drove from Columbia to Greenville. Here is a piece of the highway. Can you believe the trees? Nothing like I-15. (oh, and just in case you are wondering, I did take the photo while driving a Chevy Ulplander silver minivan...how I got the van is much too long of a story).
fun trip! that highway looks JUST like the one I drive to school everyday. keep those food pics comin!
ReplyDeleteWow, Candace It looks like you had a fun time! I remember when we went to Boston and I rode the Greyhound and was just in awe at how beautiful the highway was. (I know Mass. isn't exactly next to S. Carolina but that's how it looked too!) Also Candace I had some lovely Mix It Up hotcakes the other day. delicious. and wonderful presentation- and I love my apron too! You're amazing!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the beautiful country I live in! Don't you love the highways and how you can't see anything because of all the trees. I love the mountains in Utah but honestly, I LOVE driving through a forest everywhere I go!
