the first squash pie I've ever made (well, technically the first two squash pies I've ever made) and the 100th post to this blog. I would invite you all over to celebrate this amazing occurance with a slice of pie...but I've seem to have caught a bit of a cold and would hate to pass it around...
p.s. if you fill your pies too full and they spill over the edge while you're trying to get them in the oven (in my case a ridiculously small oven), you get that lovely burnt edge...just FYI..
Thanks for the tip on the burnt edge. Congratulations on # of posts! Keep'um comin.
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed with your crust. Mine wouldn't look that good.
ReplyDeleteyes, but you too can have a crust just like that if you buy it frozen from Smith's :)
ReplyDeletemaybe you should bring a pie to out wonderful sweater party that is coming up.
ReplyDeleteyou guys are coming...right?!
So how was it? It looks very good!
ReplyDeleteIt was OK. C1 said it tasted like squash and not pumpkin...but it was sweeter and softer than most pumpkin pies, I think. :)
ReplyDeleteYum! Gotta love fall! Sorry about the cold.
