7 random things...about my first day in TN

(Thanks for the tag, Maren)
1. 4:30 is too early to wake up

That's why I slept through my alarm and woke up at 5 to 5. (Thanks Christian for setting the alarm ahead of time so I actually had 10 more minutes than I thought I did).

2. If you wear the gear--should you know that stats?
A guy at the airport was wearing a Wisconsin Badgers jacket. Scott, my fellow TSGer, commented on the Badger's most recent game. The gear-wearing man, then said, "oh, did they win?" So this is my question, folks....if you wear the gear, should you know the stats??

3. Biscoff

the best thing about flying Delta. Need I say more?

4. Traveling clothes.

I wish it was warmer here--but it's pretty similar to Utah weather presently. In which case, I brought my trusty coat and scarf. My coat also doubled for a blanket on the freezing cold plane ride. Snow is expected tomorrow and I've got about 300 miles to drive (don't worry--Scott is driving).

5. Neverl
ost AKA Miss Gelly (pronounced "jelly")

There are many ways to get lost in TN. The first step is by trying to find things on your own. In our family, we call GPS systems Miss Gelly short for "Magellan" because that was our first taste to the wonderful world of GPS technology. Luckily, I am traveling with Miss Gelly--in our Toyota Corolla with a NY lisence plate. Only one thing could make it better, and that's if it was a vanity plate.

6. Home Sweet Home

Hampton Inn prides itself in making you feel at home--and I'll give it to them--there's nothing like a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie welcoming you to give you that friendly feeling from home (not better than mom's though).

7. Knoxville from my window

  3. Aaahh Miss Gelly, a fine companion indeed. When you pretended to be a news anchorwoman did you change your name? Lucy?
